Two 21-year-old men are charged with theft after a shoplifting call at a convenience store in Bradford.

On Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, around 2 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a report of two men arguing with employees outside of a Holland Street West restaurant after the pair was asked to leave for damaging property.

Police advised the young men to leave the area.

Shortly after, police were called to a nearby convenience store for a report of a theft.  The suspect descriptions matched the two men police had just dealt with at the restaurant.

After searching the area, police arrested two suspects and recovered some of the stolen property.

Two 21-year-old men, one from Nunavut and the other British Columbia, were charged with theft under $5,000.

Both were released with future court dates.
