INNISFIL — Provincial police are appealing for witnesses after a tow truck rolled over on Highway 400 in Innisfil this morning, seriously injuring a man while a woman sustained minor injuries.

According to Aurora OPP, the single-vehicle crash happened at 8:24 a.m., in the southbound lanes at the Innisfil ONroute.

Acting Sgt. Dan Hunter, with the OPP's Highway Safety Division, told BarrieToday that a 21-year-old York Region man suffered serious injuries and a 28-year-old Wasaga Beach woman sustained minor injuries.

Hunter said it appears the driver of the vehicle lost control while trying to make a lane change and get into the ONroute facility where it entered the ditch and flipped.

The vehicle rolled at least once, Hunter said, but some witnesses have indicated to police that they saw the truck flip multiple times, he added.

The investigation is ongoing.
