BRADFORD - On Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 in the early morning hours, officers were called by a 38 year old Bradford woman who was reporting that her boyfriend had assaulted her.

The boyfriend, a 23-year-old Ottawa man, had damaged the woman's door to gain entry to the residence and then [allegedly] assaulted her while she slept by pouring liquids on her. The man fled prior to police arrival.

Upon speaking to the woman, officers determined that the man had also bitten her earlier in the day in a cab and had thrown her cell phone out the window of the moving cab.

Officers conducted a search and located the man several hours later, near a Bradford coffee shop. The man was arrested without incident and held for a Bail Hearing.

The man is now charged with two counts of Domestic Assault and two counts of Domestic Mischief. The woman did not need medical attention in either assault.
