Innisfil driver accused of having nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol

INNISFIL - A 41-year-old Innisfil man is charged with impaired driving and over 80 after police were called to an Innisfil grocery store for a report of an impaired driver.

On Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 7:25 a.m., police responded to Jans Boulevard in Alcona and observed the vehicle driving in an erratic manner. Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver. An odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment were detected. The driver was arrested and transported to North Division where breath tests resulted in readings of nearly three times the legal limit.

A 41-year-old Innisfil man was charged with impaired driving and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released with a future court date.
