Original story
Georgian College's Barrie campus has been placed in lockdown this morning.
"Georgian College’s Barrie campus is in lockdown, however, we have no confirmed details we can share at this time," a college official told BarrieToday at 9:44 a.m.
In a tweet, the college asked people not come to the Georgian Drive campus until further notice due to a police investigation.
Barrie police say officers are currently on scene, but were unable to provide more details.
This comes on the heels of another incident Tuesday morning at a south-end high school, but it's unclear if the two are related.
City police received a call around 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, about a “threat to the school" at Bear Creek Secondary School on Red Oak Drive. That situation was given the all-clear after about 30 minutes, and students and staff returned to their regular school day.
BarrieToday will have more information as it becomes available.
