NEWS RELEASE

BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

*************************
Barrie Police were called to a north Bayfield Street coffee shop at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Staff called after the man passed out in front of the fire place. Police located the man, a 26 year-old Barrie male familiar to police, in a highly intoxicated state. It was determined that he would be unable to care for himself and he was apprehended for his own safety to be released once sober.

He had plenty of company in cells though; four other males were located by in similar state and delivered to the Barrie Police Station to sleep it off.

Barrie Police remind you that there is nothing wrong with enjoying a few beverages but please do so responsibly. Plan ahead and get home safe.
