Fire Marshal takes over investigation of Bradford fires

On Sunday, Mar. 12, 2017, around 4:50 a.m., South Simcoe Police, along with Bradford Fire and Emergency Services, responded to a structure fire at 3329 11th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

The vacant and abandoned home was fully engulfed when officers arrived. A second fire at another abandoned home nearby was discovered at 6:22 a.m. Both structures were completely destroyed.

The Office of the Fire Marshal has assumed control of the investigation and will be assisted by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call South Simcoe Police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
