Drugs, cash seized during Essa Township drug bust

ESSA TWP. - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in relation to a drug investigation.

Officers have concluded a drug trafficking investigation, whereby a search warrant was executed at a residence in Essa Township. A quantity of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Aaron Seamans of Essa Township, has been charged with the following:
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking (crack cocaine), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
    •    Possession of cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
    •    Possession of morphine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs of Substances Act
    •    Failure to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
    •    Driving while license suspended, contrary to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

The accused has been held in custody.
