Driver flashes possible handgun in road-rage incident: police

On Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 6 p.m., a road-rage incident between two drivers started eastbound along King's Highway 9 near Schomberg.   

A lone male suspect in a red Suzuki Grand Vitara followed after the victims in their vehicle north from Highway 9 along Simcoe County Road 27. 

Eventually, the male suspect caught up with the victims' vehicle and both stopped on the road side in an area south of Bond Head.

At this point, the male suspect driver showed the victims what appeared to be a possible handgun. 

The suspect driver then quickly pulled away from the victims' vehicle doing a U-turn and drove southbound on Simcoe County Road 27 back towards Schomberg. 

No one was injured in this incident. 

The victims called police after the suspect driver left the scene.

Officers would like to speak to the driver of the red Suzuki.

  • Spare tire on rear with a red cover over it
  • Unknown plate

  • Male, white, skinny, short brown shaggy hair
  • wearing a blue/ white jacket possible a Tommy Hilfiger brand
