South Simcoe Police Service officers have charged a 40-year-old Bradford woman with stunt driving after a traffic stop in Bond Head. 

On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, around 10:30 p.m., an officer conducting traffic enforcement on County Road 88 near County Road 27 observed a Jeep Grand Cherokee travelling at a high rate of speed.  A speed measurement was obtained of 109 km/hr in a 50 km/h Community Safety Zone.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, a 40-year-old Bradford woman, was charged with stunt driving.  Stunt driving violations under the Highway Traffic Act result in an immediate seven-day driver’s licence suspension and vehicle impoundment for the same period of time.  

If found guilty in court, the penalties for stunt driving could include a fine between $2000 - $10,000, up to six months in jail and a two-year license suspension.
