Domestic incident results in several charges for Barrie man

On Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, around 7:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police officers were called to a report of a family disturbance in Innisfil.  

The female complainant was reporting that her adult son was in her residence, would not leave, and was being violent and smashing things in the residence.  

The adult son did not live there and showed up sometime during the night. The adult male had a previous history of violence and police have attended in the past.  

Officers arrived and were able to arrest the male without incident. Investigation revealed the son was breaching his conditions of release on previous outstanding criminal charges.  

The male was arrested for breaching his conditions of release, and unlawfully in a dwelling.  

Further investigation found him in possession of fraudulent identification documents. The male was charged with several criminal charges relating to the fraudulent identity articles. The 28-year-old Barrie male was arrested and held for a Bail Hearing on Sept. 21, 2020.
