Motorists are being urged to avoid travelling south on Highway 11 this afternoon.
An industrial crane was involved in an accident and broke through the centre median of Highway 11 near Line 12.
The Orillia OPP report that the south-bound lanes of the well-travelled highway are closed at Line 12. They also report the north lanes of Highway 11 are reduced to a single lane at Line 11 as a result of the accident.
There were no injuries.
However, the OPP, at 2:20 p.m., estimated the full and partial closure of the highway will last several hours.
