Careless driving charge laid after Hwy. 400 collision on Saturday

Three vehicle occupants were taken to hospital with minor injuries

One motorist has been charged with careless driving after a collision on Highway 400 near Innisfil Beach Road on Saturday night.

According to OPP, shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 400 past Innisfil Beach Road. Both vehicles flipped before coming to rest in the ditch on the side of the highway. Vehicle occupants were extricated.

“Three of the vehicle occupants were transported to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with minor injuries,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.

The scene was cleared by approximately 9 p.m.

OPP have charged one of the drivers with careless driving.
