Car blows by cop going 157 kilometres an hour

A 28-year-old Innisfil man won't be driving anywhere for the next seven days
speeding highway

INNISFIL — On Friday, November 18, 2016, at approximately 8 p.m., a South Simcoe Police traffic officer was monitoring speed limits on Yonge Street near Churchill when his attention was drawn to a car moving at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle registered a speed of 157 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

A 28-year-old man from Innisfil was stopped and charged with stunt driving and speeding.

His driver's licence was suspended and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
