Barrie woman charged with impaired following Walkerton collision

Officers say they found the vehicle with two tires off the ground after running over a parking lot curbstone

WALKERTON - Members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) took an [alleged] impaired driver into custody after responding to a minor single vehicle collision in a parking lot along McGivern Street in Walkerton.

On Jan. 17, 2021 at 7:38 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the call. Officers noted the involved vehicle had two tires off the ground after running over a parking lot curbstone. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol.

Marianne Malone, 43 years old of Barrie, was charged with operate over 80 milligrams. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2021 to answer to the charge.
