Barrie man facing multiple drug, weapons charges: OPP

Charges were laid after the OPP observed a broken-down car when they were conducting a routine patrol in Gravenhurst

Two men were charged with possession of drugs and possession of a weapon after OPP came across a broken-down car on the weekend.

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officers were conducting general patrol when they observed a broken down vehicle on Talisman Drive in the Town of Gravenhurst.

Police subsequently arrested and charged 39-year-old Steven Brennan of Barrie, with possession of a drug, trafficking and possession of a dangerous weapon. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 5, 2022, to answer to his charges.

Police have also charged 35-year-old Andrew Ward of Huntsville, with possession of drugs and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose. The accused remains in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge today for a bail hearing.
