Argument between tow-truck drivers leads to charges for New Tecumseth resident

Police say one driver intentionally reversed into another tow truck, causing substantial damage

CALEDON - On Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at approximately 11:53 a.m., uniformed officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Caledon Detachment responded to a fail to remain collision in the area of Mayfield Road and Coleraine Drive in the Town of Caledon.

The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between two tow-truck drivers.

[It is alleged that] one of the drivers got into their vehicle and intentionally reversed into another tow truck, causing substantial damage to the vehicle, and left the area.

As a result of the police investigation, Domenico Tozzo, 52 of New Tecumseth, was charged with:
    •    Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and
    •    Failure to stop after accident

The accused is expected to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 17, 2021 to answer to the charges.
