NEWS RELEASE

BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

*************************
On Tuesday, December 1, 2015 shortly after noon Police received a call from OPP advising they were on scene at 1893 Snow Valley Road, in Springwater Township, with a vehicle that had been involved in a single vehicle accident.

The male driver was not the owner of the vehicle and when contacted, the registered owner told the Police neither of his vehicles were in his driveway where he had last seen them.

Barrie Police Service continued the investigation at this time and it was learned that two vehicles were stolen from the driveway on Robin Court, in the City of Barrie, as a result of a Break and Enter overnight where the keys were stolen.

A 19-year-old Barrie male has been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property Over $5,000.

He was released on a promise to appear with a future court date.
