On Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, around 3 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to the Sideroad 20 and Lormel Gate area in Innisfil regarding a suspicious, abandoned vehicle.
When police arrived, they saw a vehicle with significant damage that had mounted the curb. Investigation led police to a nearby home where police located the driver.
Deanna Baxter, 28, of Innisfil, [has been] charged with fail to remain at the scene of an accident.
She was issued a three-day licence suspension after a warn range result on a roadside screening device test.
