63-year-old novice driver charged with drinking and driving

A 63-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving offences after a South Simcoe Police Service officer pulled over an erratic driver.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019 around  5:30 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving erratically and at varying speeds northbound on the 10th Sideroad from County Road 89 in Innisfil.  

The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to North Division. Breath tests resulted in readings over the legal limit of alcohol.  

As a result, a 63-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving, over 80 and novice driver BAC above zero. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
