$1,100 worth of perfume stolen from Shoppers Drug Mart

Police look to identify two suspects

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at approximately 5 p.m., two females entered the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 509 Bayfield St. in the Georgian Mall. They proceeded to the fragrance section of the store where they selected a number of products and placed them into bags that they were carrying. The females then left the store without paying for the items that they selected. The items stolen were valued in excess of $1,100.

From the investigation that followed and with the assistance of store staff and surveillance video which captured the incident, police are able to provide the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect 1:
    •    Female, black, 20-25 years of age, thin build, with an average height
    •    Clothing: Salt and pepper Roots sweatpants and sweatshirt with white logo, black toque with white teeth on the front above the forehead, black winter jacket with fur lined hood and black shoes

Suspect 2:
    •    Female, black, 20 - 25 years of age, medium build, shorter than suspect one
    •    Clothing: Black fur lined jacket, grey pants and a pink head scarf
