In loving memory of Gerda Adriana Weyer (nee Jansen) born March 18, 1936 in Wolfheze, the Netherlands to Garrit Jansen and Adriana (nee v/d Hoeven) Jansen. She passed away peacefully at her home on Pender Island, B.C. Beloved wife of Hans Weyer and predeceased by her brother Willem Jansen (Betty) and son David Weyer. She is survived by her sister Miep (nee Jansen) deWalle (Sjoerd) and brothers Wouter Jansen (Lia) and Henk Jansen (Joyce). Left to cherish her memory, she was the proud and loving mother to her six children Frank Weyer (Helena Klein Nibbelink), Sylvia (nee Weyer) Sackiw (Chris Sackiw), Yvonne Weyer (David Mowers), Rosemary Weyer-Keller (Adam Keller), and Paul Weyer (Tara Parkinson) . Loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Katrina (nee Weyer) Campbell (Andrew), Calvin Weyer, Mercedes "Didi" Weyer, Connor Keller and Spencer Keller. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Vancouver Lookout (at the intersection of Vancouver Street and Codrington Street in Barrie) on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2:00pm followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
