The family of Evelyn Wall is saddened to announce her passing in Barrie, Ontario on January 11th, 2022 at the age of 80.  After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Evelyn passed peacefully with her family by her side.

Predeceased by Fred Wall -- her loving and devoted husband of 30 years (2021) – and by her first husband William Feder.  She will be dearly missed by her children; Kathy McKenzie (John), Brenda Jones (Peter), Denise Feder, Bill Feder (Elizabeth), Steven Wall (Charles), Cindy Boyd-Wall (Steven), and David Wall (Sue).  Cherished grandmother of Elaine, Michelle, Jay (Jon), Nicole, Andrew, Eric, Crystal, Joseph, Joshua, Jordan, and great grandmother of Sandra, Aidan, Natalie, and Sydney.  Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Florence, her sisters Bertha and Daisy, and her grandson Christopher.  Fondly remembered by nieces Donna, Barbara, and nephew Angus.

Evelyn had a kind soul and loved helping people.  She had a great love of learning, doing crafts, sewing, the church, gardening and, of course, her dogs.  In the earlier days, she and Fred would go fishing and camping together.  She was always busy with a project.

She loved her family very much, and never missed an opportunity to express how proud she was of them and of their individual accomplishments.  Even after the Alzheimer’s robbed her of the ability to speak, her family were always confident of her presence and her love.  She is free now!

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 from 12 p.m. until the time we celebrate Evelyn’s life in the Chapel at 1 p.m.  Masks, physical distancing, and capacity limitations are mandatory.  For those unable to attend, livestream of the service will be available through Evelyn’s online tributes page.

The family would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude for the genuinely compassionate care and love shown both to them and to Evelyn.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be may be made to Grove Park Home or the Alzheimer's Society and are greatly appreciated by the family.
