VANDERBOOR, Sonja

Sonja passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday September 7th, 2016 at about 7 p.m. after her year-long battle with ovarian cancer. She is now at rest with the Lord. Sonja Vanderboor loving wife of Rommie. Devoted mother of Mike and Kristin Vanderboor, Andrew Vanderboor, Kevin and Teresa Vanderboor and Chris Vanderboor and Siobhan Morrison. Cherished  grandmother of Zachary and Josiah. Sonja will be fondly remembered by her mother in-law Nettie Vanderboor as well as her in-laws Tina and John Berkhuizen, Roely and Melanie Vanderboor, Bill Vanderboor, Greta Vanderboor, Marsha and Bob France and Netty Ryan. Sonja is also survived by her brothers Tom Pyper, Harry and Pat Pyper, Mel and Margaretta Pyper, John and Heather Pyper and Bert and Janet Pyper. Sonja will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 10 o’clock Saturday September 10, 2016. Memorial donations to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
