Gone to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer at the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Saturday, February 27th, 2016. Effie (nee Veenstra) of Barrie in her 64th year. Beloved wife of Bill VanLeusen. Dear mother of Steve & his wife Amanda of Oro and Scott & his wife Stacy of Craighurst. Loving grandmother of Lillian & Henry and Ethan & Gavin. Sadly missed by her brothers Albert (Rita), Casey (Mary), Jake (Joyce), Eelke (Edie), Hank (Mildred), Marty (Donna) & the late Wayne (his surviving wife Nienke) and by her sisters Dell (late Bob), Alice, Anne (Bob) & Martha (Ary). Friends may call at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the FIRST CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 33 Shirley Avenue in Barrie on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment St. James Cemetery, Stroud.
