Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Saturday February 6, 2016. John Turner of Barrie in his 96th year was the beloved husband of Rita Turner of Barrie. Dear father of Robert (Alison) of Brampton and Jean Hull (James) of Mississauga. Step-father of Eileen McAlear of Surrey, B.C., Anne McAlear (Paul Greig) of Toronto, Mary Shields (Andy) of Hockley Valley, David McAlear of Brampton, Michael McAlear (Linda) of Midhurst, Trish Bischoff (Chris) of Dubai, Jane Turner of Mackay, Australia and Adele McAlear of Montreal. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre 152 Bradford St. in Barrie on Thursday February 11th from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday.
