(October 20, 1933 – October 15, 2019) - Surrounded by his family, Ed passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his beloved wife Amy (2009). He will be sadly missed by his children, Sue (Clayton), Butch, Cindy (Russ) and Tim (Ivana). Loved Papa to Kyle (Andrea), Natalie (Kevin), Stacie (Will), Caitlin (Ryan), Evan (Natasha), Ryan (Jessyka), Sam, Tyler, Tyleign and Breanna and great-grandchildren, Oliver, Brinley, Kaelan and Kendal. Edziu is survived by his brothers and sisters, Ruthe (late Jack), Con (Richard), Bob (Jan) and Ted (Susan). Predeceased by his sisters Helen and Jenny and brothers Jim and Curly, infant son Ricky and son-in-law Jamie. Ed will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Ed was an inspiration to us all, as he continued to work into his early 80s and continued to thrive passionately in the garden, on the dance floor and on the golf course, all while honouring and speaking of his beloved wife Amy up until his final days. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life, to take place at 410 St. Vincent Street, Barrie, ON (enter parking lot off of Ferris Lane) on Sunday, October 20, 2019, (fittingly Ed’s 86th Birthday), from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Memorial Donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Care Centre or the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated by the family.
