THIRSK, Sally

The song has ended, but the melody lingers on.
On Wednesday, August 15, peacefully and quietly at Hospice Simcoe,  Sally left this life for her eternal reward.
She was the devoted wife & life partner of nearly 59 years to Gary Thirsk.
Loving, kind and caring mom of Rick and his wife Shona of Ottawa, Kerri and her husband Curt of St. Thomas, Sherri and her husband Jason of Barrie and Lee and her husband Reg of London.
Proud & doting Nana to Joel (Sarah), Sara (Simon), Amanda, Hannah, Harrison & Lennon and 1 Great Granddaughter, Ellis.
Dear sister of Jim Hord (Jean) & sister-in-law of Miriam. Sister-in-law of Jim and Sharon Thirsk. Predeceased by her wonderful parents, Jack & Nettie Hord, her brother Jack Jr, her sister Marguerite and brother-in-law Leonard.  Cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Moms quiet nature, steadfast love and her faithfulness & talents will forever remain in our hearts.
Special thanks to Dr. David Evans and staff, and to Dr. Rick Irvin & all of the amazing, supportive caregivers & staff at Hospice Simcoe for the last 4 weeks.
Mom will be celebrated at  the church she so loved and played piano at for over 45 years, Hi-Way Pentecostal church in Barrie, on Sunday, August 19 at 3pm with visitation from 1:30-3:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Simcoe or Hi-Way Church.
