George Stephens of Barrie, in his 99th year. Beloved husband of Mary. Dear father of Glenn Stephens and his wife Liz of Kitchener, and Brian Stephens and his wife Carla of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Tianna Pyne (Jeff), Jacob, and Lucas Stephens, and great grandfather of Arabella and Lillian Pyne. Dear brother of the late Helen Jeacock, Violet Howard, Ruby McCann, Aletha Hicks, Pat Simpson, Mildred Viktil, Janet Ormiston, Edward Stephens and Jack Stephens. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Friday, December 8th, 2017 from 7-9 pm, with a Masonic Service being held at 6:30, and on Saturday, December 9th from 9 am until the time we celebrate George’s life in the Chapel at 10 am. Following the interment at Barrie Union Cemetery, guests are invited back to the funeral home for a reception in the Lounge. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of 4th Level Kensington House at the Victoria Village Manor.
