Passed away peacefully at Hankinson House - Stedman Community Hospice on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018, in his 80th year. Beloved partner of Carol Droeske. Cherished father of Lesley Spence (Chris Deschamps). Loved son of the late Thomas Harrison Spence and Mary Spence (nee Mason), and brother of the late James (Pirie), the late Bruce (Pat) and the late Robert "Russ". Uncle to Jennifer and Thomas, and cousin to Margo and Doug. Gord was a Chartered Accountant, and retired Director of Finance of Stevenson Memorial Hospital, in Alliston. He was an avid reader, and was very knowledgeable on Canadian and American politics. A Reception will be held from 2 -4 p.m. on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 in the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre - Magnolia Wing Reception Suite, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice, Hankinson House 445 Grey Street Brantford, ON would be appreciated.
