It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Lynn Smith of Moosonee who passed away on Wednesday Aug 28th at approximately 12:20 PM at Kingston General Hospital. She has now embarked on the next phase of her journey to join God, her Heavenly Father and William Ronald Smith, her earthly Father. She is survived by her son Stephen Smith-Sanderson, her Mother Beverley Smith, sister Sandra Evans and brother Robert Smith. As well as many cousins, Aunts, Uncles, nephews and nieces and countless friends.
Dianne was an amazing spirit who would help anyone and everyone whenever asked, always putting her needs and wants last. A truly selfless person. Dianne was so fully and completely dedicated to her son Stephen and to her community. It was her reason to get up each morning. Yes she was taken much too soon but she will live on forever in all of us and is a great addition to heaven.
A remembrance service will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley street in Barrie on September 9th 2019 from 11-12 pm. Following the service, we will proceed to Barrie Union Cemetery for interment. Following the cemetery, everyone is invited back to the Funeral Home for a reception in the Lounge where you are welcome to share more memories of Dianne. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
