Suddenly and unexpectedly, passed peacefully at home during the early morning hours of August 1st, 2018 at the age of 84, with her loving husband Frank by her side. Proud mother of Margot Mantin, Larry Simmons (Leila) and the late Sandra Simmons. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Portia, Graham, Evan, Jay, Vince, Cristina and Kathrina, and great granddaughter Venetia. Sister of Mary Wille, Dorothy Cudmore (Reg) and Audrey Beattie (late Andrew). Cremation will have taken place on Tuesday, August 7th. Guests are invited to share memories and help celebrate Margaret’s life at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Hospital for Sick Children would be greatly appreciated by the family.
