Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Tuesday May 29th, 2018, in his 95th year. Loving father of Carol (Chuck) Davis, Deb Schandlen, Brenda (Tom) Shultz and David (Liz) Schandlen. Pre-deceased by beloved wife Betty and infant son Kevin, sisters Mildred and Jean, and brother Walter. Loving grandfather of Kim, Laura, Julie, James, Karen and Jason, and fondly remembered by many beloved great-grandchildren. Besides his awesome garden, Ralph was known for his passion for curling and volunteer firefighting. Family and friends may call at the Jennet Funeral and Cremation Centre, at 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Friday, from 1 pm to 2 pm. Service in the chapel will be from 2 pm to 3 pm. Reception following. Interment at the Thornton Union Cemetery will take place at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Thornton Volunteer Fire Department.
