ROWEN, Wayne Ernest

Peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Helene (nee Deschamps) for 32 years. Honoured father of Dominique Allen (Jordan), and soon-to-be grandfather in August 2016. Dear brother of Diane, Richard, Michael, Debbie, Laurie, Anna, Valerie and Shelley. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Marion Rowen, and brothers Randall, Ronnie and Billy. Will be sadly missed by his German Shepard and best friend, Brutis. Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home lounge, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Tuesday June 7, 2016, from 11 AM until 12:30 PM, at which time, guests are invited to remain for a memorial gathering and celebration of Wayne’s life in which casual attire is appropriate, Montreal Canadiens apparel is encouraged, and stories are welcomed. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Hospice Simcoe for their care of Wayne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe, or to the OSPCA and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
