Peacefully passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with her daughter by her side on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Walter Rodrigues. Loving and devoted mother of Fatima Rodrigues and Pollyanna Burch (Blaise). Proud and loving Vovo of Andrew, Adam, and Alex. Survived by 7 sisters and 1 brother. Always loved and dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., in Barrie on Sunday July 29, from 2 to 5 pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place the following day, Monday July 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., in Barrie starting at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Orillia. If desired, donations in Fatima’s memory may be made to Parkinson Canada and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the St. Elizabeth and I.L.S. personal support workers, especially Marie, Michelle and Elene for their care and love given to our mother.
