(1 July 1931 to 22 January 2019) - Passed away peacefully in his 88th year at Royal Victoria Hospital after a short illness. Percy was married for over 60 years to the love of his life, June and together they raised 2 children, Rick (Fran) and Katie (David).  He will be fondly remembered by them as well as his grandchildren Rick (Diana), Sarah (Stuart), Serena (Shannon) and Seth and his great-grandchildren Joshua, Abigail and Charlotte. Percy was a master stonemason by trade and worked hard all his life perfecting his craft.  He could build anything that he put his mind to from box kites to houses and he willingly passed on his knowledge to anyone who expressed the desire to learn.  He was also a successful salesman later in life, rising to the role of Regional Sales Manager for Miracle Maid. Percy had a love for children and baseball.  He coached minor baseball in Angus and Elmgrove for many years, taking his teams to championships on a number of occasions. A celebration of Percy’s life will be held at JENNETT FUNERAL  & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Sunday, January 27th from 2:00 – 4:00p.m., with words of remembrance shared at 3:00 p.m.  Friends and family are welcomed to gather at that time to remember Percy and share any memories or stories of how he was part of their lives. Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favourite charity in his memory.
