It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our dear husband, father, and grandfather Bob Paavola, who passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 in his 81st year. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee Dickens) his soulmate, sweetheart, and best friend of 56 years. Proud father of Debbie Rosebush (Dean) and Al Paavola (Laurie). Son of the late Vivian (Harrison) and Jack Paavola of Toronto. Devoted Poppa of Dana Rosebush, Erin Rosebush, Rob Rosebush, Kyla Paavola, and Blake Paavola. Bob worked in the engineering department at Dorr Oliver Long (GL&V) Orillia for 46 years. Bob was creative and loved to build. He was proud of the home, canoe, and furniture he built. Bob cherished spending quality time with family and shared a passion for hockey with his son and grandsons. Bob also enjoyed watching his granddaughters dance recitals. Bob’s warmth and love touched the lives of everyone around him and he will be dearly missed. Our family extends a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Dickson and staff at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place and family will get together for a private celebration of life. In honour of Bob, donations to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
