O’BRIEN, Edward 'Hub'

Peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday November 5, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved husband and best friend of Edith for 55 years. Loving and devoted father of David (Carol), and Susan Nastasiuk (Paul). Proud grandpa of Samantha, Zachary, Sara, Matthew, Morgan, Lindsay, and Bridget. Survived by brother Gerald O’Brien (Helen). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and other dear family members. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie, on Friday November 10, from 7 pm. to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place the following day on Saturday November 11, at St. John Vianney Parish, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie, starting at 11 am. A minute of silence will be observed at the beginning of Mass. Following the Mass, a reception will follow in the parish hall. If desired, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the RVH Foundation and are greatly appreciated.
