Passed peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 6th, 2019 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Ellwood Ney. Dear mother of the late Carol McCarthy (Don), Marilyn Marchildon and Sharon Ney Durocher (Daniel). Loving grandmother of Lisa (Troy), Ronnie, Stephen (Nancy), Shelley (Tony), Catharine (Billy), Stephanie, Valerie and great grandmother of Taylor, Charlie, Chris, Jacob, Joshua, Hannah and Kieran. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, especially by Romaine Miller, her husband Mike and their sons Michael and Sean (Samantha), as well as other family members, many friends and staff at Whispering Pines Residence.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time we celebrate her life in the Chapel at 11 a.m. A reception luncheon will follow in the Lounge. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and are appreciated by the family.
