At the age of 84, of Wasaga Beach (Barrie), was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital after valiantly fighting many health challenges. His devotion to his family and belief in God carried him throughout his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.
Devoted and beloved husband of 54 years to Evelyn (nee Shaw). Proud and cherished father of Gord (Marilyn) and Nancy (Taro Nakamura). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kerry, Tyler, Mac, Tim, Josh and Emily.
Sadly missed by his brother Henry (Shirley). Predeceased by father Samuel and mother Wilhelmina; brothers William, Ken, George and Elwood; and sisters Martha, Viola, Mina, Josephine and Mary. Sinc will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church (550 Grove Street East Barrie) on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 o’clock p.m.
