Peacefully, at Mill Creek Care Centre, Barrie, on Tuesday June 21, 2016, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Robert. Loving mother of Carolyn Durnan (Michael), Barbara Kittmer, and Kathryn McDonald (Allan). Cherished grandmother of Robert, the late Scott, Christopher, Karyn, Brian, Ashley and Cameron, and great-grandmother of Emily, Duncan, Carter and Jackson. Doreen will be sadly missed by her special friend Drago and many life-long friends. Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 1:30 PM until the time we celebrate Doreen’s life in the chapel at 2:30 PM. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the lounge. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Mill Creek Care Centre.
