MUMBERSON, Audrey Iaelene

Ninety-two years young,  passed away Sunday March 18, 2018  at Royal Victoria Hospital,  Barrie. Beloved wife of the late Frank Mumberson of Cookstown, mother of Jayne Sanford (David Fraser) of Barrie and Suzanne Mumberson (Jack Weinger) of Courtenay BC.  Greatly missed by Meghan, Dean and their boys Lachlan and Nolan of Vancouver. Iaelene resided her entire life in Innisfil Township and later Barrie, devoting all her time to farm, home and family. She learned to drive at 14 and was proud of her 77 year accident free driving record. She was an active volunteer at Royal Victoria Hospital when located on Ross Street in Barrie. Enjoyed her hobbies including many wonderful oil paintings, award winning gardens, stellar shopping and piano playing.  Avid and passionate sports fan of her Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and Raptors.  Iaelene was easily recognizable driving her John Deere lawn tractor rapidly around her acreage on Church Street in Cookstown into her nineties. Loved by all in the community who knew her. No service will be held. Interment and a private celebration of life for close family will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the caring and loving staff on the third floor of Royal Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Iaelene to Matthew House Hospice in Alliston or Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Paul F.
