Mr. John McGuire

Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday February 20th, 2016, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, in his 68th year. Loving husband and best friend of Bonnie McGuire for 45 years. Cherished father of Kari Ann (Jeff Baker), Kevin (Michele) and Kelly (Mohammad Salama). Predeceased by his beloved son Kyle (2006) and his mother and father. Will be very sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren. He leaves behind two sisters and seven brothers as well as his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. A gentle soul who will be fondly remembered and very much missed by the many people whose lives he touched. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Tuesday February 23rd from 5pm – 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie on Wednesday February 24th, at 10am, followed by an interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Schomberg, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
