Passed peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at the age of 85. Loving father of Debbie (Jim) and Don (Luanne). Proud grandfather of Amber, Ashlea (Mike), Dayna, Megan (Kyle), Shayla (Dan), Soleil and Jake. Dear brother of Ruth, Harold, Donna, Marilyn, Bob, the late Keith and Audrey. Will be dearly missed by June, many extended family members and friends. In keeping with James’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Army Navy and Air Force Club, 52 Morrow Rd., Barrie on Wednesday, April 17th, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
