July 18th 1949 – May 18th 2023
Bob passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Karen nee (Huculak). Loving father of Don (Jane) Monteith, Dana (Mike) Van Berkel. He is predeceased by his daughter Taunya Monteith. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Robbie, Mason, Ruben and Annabella. Sadly, missed by siblings, Jim (Pam), Don, Ena (John) and sister-in-law Donna (Hank).
Bob will also be missed by other relatives and friends as well as his global hockey community.
At Bob’s request cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place on Saturday May 27th, 2023, from 2:00-5:00pm at the Barrie Royal Canadian Legion, 410 St. Vincent Street, Barrie, of which he was a proud member.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
