Passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on June 6, 2018 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Lorna for 48 years. Dear father of Steven (Cara) Miller, and Brenda (Geoff) Dobbin. Proud and loving grandad of Lauren and Kaitlin. Survived by brother Murray (Brunhild) Miller, and sisters Margaret (Barry) McLean and Jean (Murray) Painter. Sadly missed and loved by nieces, nephews, other dear family members and dear friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie on Monday June 11, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Ernie’s life will take place the following day, Tuesday June 12, in the chapel of the funeral home starting at 11 am. Visitation from 10 am. A reception will follow. Interment will follow the reception at Barrie Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Ernie’s memory may be made to the RVH Regional Cancer Centre, or a charity of your choice and are greatly appreciated.
