Passed away peacefully in his 85th year with family by his side on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. Beloved husband of the late Rosa Mendicino. Dear father of Angela (Renato) Vaccaro, Maria (Domenico) Spalvieri and Tony (Francesca) Mendicino. Loving brother of Lisetta (Late Amedeo) Cassano and Filomena (Orlando) Turco. Proud and caring Nonno of Antonella (Luigi), Cristina (Scott), Alessia, Angelo, Rosa (Matt), Michael, Brenda (Alex), and great grandchildren Lucio Domenico and Vincenzo Angelo. He’ll always be remembered fondly for his generosity and humour by all his dear family members and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St., Barrie). A funeral mass will be held at 10am the following day on Saturday, March 16th at St. John Vianney Parish (13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie) with interment directly following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery (208 Sunnidale Road, Barrie). A reception will be held after the interment at St. John Vianney Parish where all are welcome to gather and share their special memories of Angelo.
