(March 27, 1929 - September 2, 2018) - On Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Victoria Village Manor, Lurdes went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Joaquim Mendes. Cherished mother of Tony Mendes, and Helena De Sousa. Loved grandmother to Cris De Sousa, Natasha Machado, Ricardo Mendes, Roxanne Da Silva, Becky Henriques, Daniella Mendes; and great grandmother to Isabelle Machado, Vanessa Machado, Laura De Sousa, Claudia Machado, Micah De Sousa, Elianna Machado, Daniel Da Silva, Nathan Mendes, Lukas Da Silva, and Mikaila Mendes. Family and friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on September 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock a.m. Interment Innisvale Cemetery (7551 Fifth Side Rd, Innisfil).
