At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday December 8, 2015, in his 81st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Sandra Lu (nee Edwards/Hawman). Dear father of Gary (Karen) McWhirter and step-father of Chris (Anne) Hawman, Kim Hawman, Heather (Chad) Jenkins, Mike (Aya) Hawman. Predeceased by daughter Anne Reid, and his first wife Jean Martell. Proud grandfather and great grandfather. Sadly missed and always remembered by many other family members and dear friends. All will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Sunday December 13, from 2pm until 4pm and 7pm until 9pm; with an Odd Fellow and Rebecca Service at 6:30pm, all are welcome. Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday December 14, at 11am. Donations in Ian’s memory may be made to Camp Trillium Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s Capital Fund, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
