MCKENZIE, Gary Russell (G.R.)

Passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 7, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Gary in his 79th year leaves behind the love of his life Joan, his beloved wife and soul mate of almost 55 years. Adored father to Kelly, Kerry (Shawn), and Russell (Colleen) and fondly remembered by Shawn, Barry and Tracey. Cherished Papa to Jason, Cody, Casey, Jami, McKenzie, Tyson and Mitchell. He will be forever remembered by his many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Russell and Margaret McKenzie and in-law’s Dugald and Norma Kerr. A Celebration of Life will be held at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent St, Barrie) on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Donations for melanoma research to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, UHN www.thepmcf.ca, would be greatly appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at adamsfuneralhome.ca.
